The magic of these mountains, together with the many mysteries and popular legends, are waiting for you for this new adventure.
The ring route, entirely designed and tracked by us of the Marche Trail, will cross the entire mountain range allowing you to discover, in a single journey, the four sides of the Park:
Magical, Sacred, Historical and Flowery.
BIKEPACKING MEANS FREEDOM.
You will have to travel, in a spirit of adventure and in total autonomy, the entire route. It is not a race, so you have no time limit to be respected, you can organize as you prefer, choosing where and when to eat and sleep.
On the "Accommodation" page you will find the updated list of all "accommodation facilities" inside the Park.
Sign up here.
15 days before departure you will receive by email all the info about the event and the track to upload to your GPS.
On May 24th, from 15:00 to 20:00 at "Fiastra Lake" there will be::
registration of signed in participants;
briefing about the route;
an aperitif with local products;
share your experiences with old and new friends in front of a beer;
DEPARTURE: 25 May at 8.00 from Visso, headquarters of the Park institution and symbolic place of the 2016 earthquake.
ALSO THE TRACE IS READY!
The ring route (160 km 4500 d +) is a specially revisited version of the Great Ring of the Sibillini (GAS) by us of the Marche Trail,
to make the experience even more exciting. Although it is a mountain route it does not present great technical difficulties.
We recommend the use of MTB, but also a gravel bike with generous and resistant gumming (min 40 ") can give its satisfaction.
Take your choice!
The tour will be clockwise, starting from Visso, where you can leave your car for all the trip duration.
We are in a National Park so who wants to sleep under the stars outside the campsites or equipped areas will have to consult the regulation for the bivouac on
Pay attention to wolves, please do not eat them!
THE PATH WILL BE DIVIDED IN TWO PARTS
Despite the earthquake, fortunately there are many accessible and welcoming accommodation facilities. It will not be difficult to find
food and water.
In some villages such as Amandola, Montefortino, Altino Montemonaco, Montegallo, you will find campsites, cottages, B&anpm;Bs and shelters, on the track or
in the immediate vicinity, up to the pass of Forca di Presta (km 105 / 3100d +).
At about 110 km, just after the pass, a place of exceptional beauty, you will find the unique and small refuge Belvedere (only bivouac) 1577slm,
where there will also be a tent in the front and fenced. You can find more info on www.rifugideisibillini.it
Call for availability!
We continue the journey towards Castelluccio where the earthquake was less forgiving. We recommend that you check in advance for places to
spend the night, while for eating you will find different solutions.
